Hi! I'm Cameron

Of course, you likely already figured that out from the big 'CAMERON HANSEN' on the side of every page. If you hadn't, then well, that's me!It's always a little awkward trying to write about yourself, isn't it? Especially when something I write now may not be what I would write this time next year- the amount of times I've had to edit this already!But I suppose I should start somewhere. I'm a soon-to-be graduate from the University of Hertfordshire's Digital Animation course, specialising in 2D. I've definitely grown as a person and an artist because of it! I particularly love character animation and building 2D rigs in Toon Boom. I have some experience in 3D animation, and one of my goals is to learn it properly! When I was a kid, I couldn't understand my Italian teachers so I'd sit in the back of the class and draw stick figure comics until my wrist sounded like crumpling tin foil. Right now I'm working on a super cool short film.Outside of uni, I volunteer with kids (my short film is actually inspired by them!). A good thing about being into animation is that I can easily find things that they'll enjoy watching too! I also enjoy baking, especially different kinds of bread, and I like to knit while watching things (keeps my hands busy!). I love stories that focus on personal struggles and relationships.I was born on the west coast of Scotland, but grew up in Virginia, USA and southern Italy before moving to England, not too far from London. I'm excited to see more of the world, but I'm also eagre to reconnect with my Scottish heritage (maybe a road trip one day!).That's about all I can think of.
